In order to refute untrue claims made by inmates of beatings at the hands of jail staff, a Delhi court has ordered the Director General of Prisons, Tihar, to install CCTV cameras inside the offices of the Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent. Two suspects were detained by the Uttar Pradesh Police after they allegedly attempted to plan a communal conspiracy close to the holy site of “Jalal Shah Mazar” in Bijnor.
