Following a new epidemic of Covid, the Punjab and Haryana High Court reduced its hearing capacity to nearly half today, using the odd-even method. Three Division Benches would be operational on a daily basis, according to an order published this evening.

On “odd” dates, such as the first, third, and fifth, the benches led by Justice Augustine George Masih, Justice Tejinder Singh Dhindsa, and Justice MS Ramachandra Rao will meet. On even dates, such as the second, fourth, and sixth, the Benches led by Justice Ajay Tewari, Justice Ritu Bahri, and Justice GS Sandhawalia will meet. Every Monday, Thursday, or any other day, the first Division Bench, which includes Chief Justice Ravi Shanker Jha and Justice Arun Palli, shall convene court.
