The Dussehra Break in the Apex Court starts from October 11, after that the physical hearings may resume in the courts said the CJI.
The Chief Justice of India NV Ramana said on Sunday that full-fledged physical hearings in the Supreme Court may resume after the Dussehra break. He said that judges don’t have any problem with the physical hearings.
CJI spoke at the felicitation function organised by Lady Advocates of the Supreme Court to honour the Chief Justice of India and Judges of Supreme Court.
The CJI said that we don’t want to take risks also, “We hope that there are no more Covid-19 waves and most probably post Dussehra vacations, we can go for the physical hearings,” he added.
The Chief Justice of India also spoke about the less representation of women in the courts of India.
He said that the representation of women in the judiciary system should be atleast 50% percent.
“With the help of you, we may reach this goal in apex court and other courts. I don’t know whether I will be here or somewhere else. That day I will be definitely happy.”CJI NV Ramana.
