Woman kidnapped and raped in Bharatpur district, accused arrested by Sevar Police

A woman preparing for the constable examination in Bharatpur, Rajasthan was raped by a man who is a resident of the same village. The woman was kidnapped by the accused and raped in a hotel.

The Sevar Police station registers a case against the accused. According to the victim, while she was going to her coaching class on December 31, the man from her village approached her and told her that his father-in-law’s condition is bad and on this pretext, he took the victim to a hotel in an unconscious state.

He raped the woman in the hotel and made obscene videos and threatened to leak the videos. The accused raped the woman eight more times and continued to blackmail her.

The matter came into light, when the husband of the victim woman came home on vacation, the woman told her husband about her ordeal and how she was being blackmailed.

The husband of the woman approached the Sevar Police station and lodged an FIR against the accused in the women’s police station.

The accused, Rakesh was arrested by the Sevar Police station. The police said that the family members of the accused held respectable posts in the village and one member of the accused’s family also served as the sarpanch of the village. The accused also runs a hotel outside the village.

Rape cases in Rajasthan are rising day by day, a 13-year-old minor girl, who had gone to fetch wood and graze cattle in a forest of Bharatpur was abducted and gang-raped by 16 men. Five people from the village molested the girl on the strength of the gun.

In another sensational case, a 26-year-old man was arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor girl while she was on her way to school in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district.

Even after a huge number of rape cases are being reported in Rajasthan, the state government is silently spectating without taking any action against the rapists.
